The disperision of the Jews outside Israel; from the destruction of the temple on Jerusalem in 587-86 BC when they were exiled to Babylonia up to the present time
Diaspora means: when a group of people live outside of a country / an area that they have lived in for a long time.
- I think that a good source to understand what diaspora is, would be if there is a very simple explanation of the definition because then it is easy to understand it.
- If the source tells you an example of what it could be then it is a good source because then if you know / understand the meaning of the example, you will be able to make your own example with help from the original one, and when you can do so you know the defenition by heart.
- Another good source might be if there is a picture of the meaning of it because then you get an understanding of what it could be and you can easier learn it because you can then explain it yourself.
