Inference: A sound of Thunder

Outline:

Example 1: When they hear a big loud noise in the woods, it inferes us to the fact that there will come a dinosaur
Example 2: In the end of the story Eckels gets shot and this sound of a gun inferes to the sound of thunder by using the same term in a different way

Thesis: The author uses inference effectively in the story

Paragraph:

"There was a sound of thunder"
Inference is the act or proccess of reaching a conclusion about something from known fact or evidence. The author uses inference effectively in the story. When the author writes  "The sound of Thunder" the first time it inferes the roar of the dinosaur. The roar of the dinosaur inferes us to The sound of Thunder. "It ran, it's pelvic bones crushing aside trees and bushes, it's taloned feet clawing damp eart, leaving prints six inches deep wherever it settled its weight" this is the quote from the story which suggests the inference of the sound of thunder. "Travis shifted his rifle, clicked the safety catch and raised his weapon. There was a sound of Thunder". The sound of the gun when Eckels is shot by Travis, inferes to The sound of Thunder. The sound of thunder uses a great deal of inference to make us want to read even more and also to give us a clue to the conclusion of the story.
